The output of megasasctl on a Perc5i without a backplane fails to list the disks. This works properly on a system with a backplane. On the machine, running Debian wheezy, kernel 3.2.0, with drives plugged directly into the Perc5i LSI WebBIOS keep showing "PD Missing: Enclosure 8: Slot… We tried to rebuild the RAID but BIOS keep showing "PD missing: Enclosure 8: Slot 3". Slots 4 and 5 are swapped on a C6220. Pulling Slot4 make s5 ... When we pulled the drive from SLOT 5 the controller shows that SLOT 4 is missing . The vise-versa is true when pulling SLOT 4.
